Pinzone's Grilling Team Takes 3rd
Brunswick, OH-July 9, 2011

The Rib Burn Off at the Mapleside Farms 2011 Rock, Rib, and Blues Festival had a deep field of participants this year looking to be named one of the best.

The contestants showed up with their best smokers, trailers, tents, grills, sauces, rubs and ribs ready to win the judges hearts.  The Pinzone's Team, competing for the first time, showed up with little more than a gas grill and some know how to see how they could stack up against the "big boys."

As the day went on and the sun beat down on the participants, fans and bands, the contestants all kept a diligent eye on their ribs making sure that they would come out just right.  Methodically basting, saucing, smoking, flipping and seasoning their bones, the contestants worked hard to win the judges favor.

When the moment of truth came, the band starting playing and the crowd gathered in anticipation of the big announcement.  Half way through the first song, the band announced the results, with Pinzone's taking 3rd overall!

Thanks to the folks at Mapleside Farms for hosting a great event and congrats to our grilling team for making us proud!  We can't wait to see what our team will do in the future...

Thanks to the folks at AOL's City's Best Cleveland for choosing us one of Cleveland's Best Sausage Shops!

Cleveland's Best Sausage Shops For Grilling Season

With all due respect to the hamburger set, there are plenty of people in Cleveland who know that a summer barbecue isn't complete without some sort of sausage on the menu. Looking for something you can't find in a styrofoam supermarket package? Here are a few Cleveland sausage shops that are a cut above the rest.

Pinzone's Market Fresh Meats: After starting out at the West Side Market, Pinzone's decided it was time to expand. They decided to do so in 1995, and their shop has been serving Parma ever since, with a diverse range of meats and unique sausages. If you're looking for something different for your backyard barbeque, why not try a chicken bourbon sausage with mozzarella and bacon, or maybe a Hawaiian chicken sausage with ham and pineapple?
